ICT Facilities

Information and Communication technology (ICT) includes, computers and their peripherals, internet, mobile phones and other electronic delivery systems are increasingly being used in the modern education system. With the advent of lockdown as a result of the Covid Pandemic, the need for ICT in almost every area of ​​modern life was recognized. The same is true of the education system. Sree Sankara College prides itself on being an institution with state-of-the-art ICT facilities that cater to the needs of students and teachers.

WiFi Connectivity

Our College campus is WiFi enabled by availing the facility provided by centrally sponsored Scheme, National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (ICT) from BSNL, which provides 10 mbps broadband connectivity to colleges. Optical Fibre Connectivity is available to every department from Campus Networking Center. Computer Laboratories are connected to the internet through Manageable Switches, Cisco Networks. Cyberoam Firewall provides the network availability and security. The high end networking devices provides simultaneous access of the servers to computer laboratories. About 100 users can simultaneously access the facilities from their departments. Since all the Computer Systems in ACE are connected in a switched fiber optic campus network, one can access any resource from any node in the campus. A variety of software is also made available to the students and the users.

Computer Lab

The college has established four high tech fully air-conditioned computer laboratories equipped with high-end services and computers. Computers are installed and inter-connected through Local Area Network and  Hi-speed internet facility. The labs are equipped with an extensive collection of software including statistical, financial, accounting, programming, and simulations. All the computers in the college are running on licensed Windows operating system and Office software under the Microsoft Campus Agreement-Open Value Subscription Enrolment for Education Solutions. The Computer Lab is also equipped with LCD Projector and Screen, printers, scanners and with UPS backup. Students can access Internet and download relevant study materials and procure hard copies of the study materials with the assistance of staff at any time. Broadband WiFi connectivity is provided to faculty members, research scholars and Post Graduate students

e-Learning Room

The college has set up an e-learning room with financial support from DST_FIST project. The room has a seating capacity of 15 and is supported by high end quality sound system and Wi-Fi connectivity.

Learning Management System

Sree Sankara College has implemented an innovative Learning Management System (LMS) called Linways to enhance the educational experience for students and streamline administrative processes. Linways provides a user-friendly platform for faculty, students, and administrators to effectively manage and access course materials, submit assignments, facilitate online discussions, and conduct assessments. With its intuitive interface and extensive features, Linways has revolutionized teaching and learning at our college. This comprehensive LMS ensures seamless communication, promotes collaborative learning, and offers real-time feedback, enabling students to engage actively in their academic journey. Additionally, Linways enables efficient administrative functions such as managing course schedules, generating reports, and monitoring student progress, thereby enhancing overall operational efficiency at Sree Sankara College.

Further more, the college facilitates Microsoft Teams an online learning platform that brings conversations, content, assignments, and apps together in one place, letting educators create vibrant learning environment, build collaborative classrooms, connect in professional learning communities, and connect with colleagues. Sree Sankara College uses licensed MS Teams for its online education tool. All the faculty members and students are given individual user ids so that all users are having access to  all the resourses available in Remote teaching and learning in Office 365 Education to assisist educators and students with remote learning.
