Gyanotsav 2023 - NEP Programme



Gyanotsav 2023 was held at Central University Of Kerala, Kasargod on 6th to 8th July, 2023. Mrs. Essy C Cherian, HOD, Department of Mathematics, Sree Sankara college, Kalady accompanied by 7 students, Robert Joy, Denilson Devid, Anila Manoj, Ragendu Umesh, Poornima Unnikrishnan, Ajil and Sankar were invited to participate in the event held on 6th and 7th of July. The honourable Governor of Kerala, Sri Arif Mohammad Khan was the chief guest of the educational conference presided by Prof.H Venkateshwarlu, the honourable V.C of CUK. The honourable Governor inaugurated the exhibition held at Payaswini hall. Various educational institutions participated in the event to exhibit different activities organised by their institutions based on various topics. Each of the stalls was visited by the Governor. The activities done in our college based on Vedic Mathematics and activities of the Sanskrit department of our college in collaboration with IKS was presented in our exhibition stall. Honourable Governor appreciated our work in Vedic Mathematics On the second day of Gyanotsav 2023, there were presentations of educational institutions. This programme was inaugurated by the Minister of state for Education, Smt. Annapurna Devi Yadav. She also visited the exhibition stalls and made remarkable comments about our stall. The presentation was conducted in Sabarmati hall and Saraswati hall. Poornima Unnikrishnan, B.Sc Mathematics student of our college presented the activities of our college on the topic “Embedding India with Indian Knowledge System”. We presented the details of the 5th International Vedic Maths Conference and workshop conducted in our college and the 30 hour add on course programme. Various activities done in collaboration with IKS were also presented. The Chair and audience congratulated her and made valuable comments about her presentation. Higher education conference was held on the third day of the Gyanotsav which was inaugurated by the UGC Joint Secretary Mr. Rajesh Varma. The distribution of the certificates to the participants of the Gyanotsav 2023 was carried out by Prof. Alok Kumar Chakraval, the honourable Vice Chancellor, Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya and Mr. A Vinod, the national Joint Secretary of Vidyabhyasa Vikasa Kendra.
