Kerala Startup Mission

IEDC is a flagship project to promote innovation and entrepreneurship among students. The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centres (IEDC) are platforms set up in Engineering, Management, Arts & Science Colleges, Medical Institutions, Polytechnics and Universities with an aim to provide students with an opportunity to experiment and innovate.  Kerala Startup Mission has set up IEDCs in 425 institutions across the State which provide avenues for creative students to learn, collaborate and transform their innovative ideas into prototypes of viable products and services. IEDCs works as the first launch pad for a student’s entrepreneurial journey and provide them with access to cutting edge technology, world-class infrastructure, high-quality mentorship, early risk capital and global exposure.

IEDC adopts a “learning by doing” philosophy and promotes a “Do it yourself” culture among the students. With IEDC students are benefiting from their overall personality development, soft skills, technology skills and 21^st century skills.

The Innovation & Entrepreneurship Development Centre was established in the college in the year 2023. 

Mission

The mission of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) at Sree Sankara College, Kalady, is to foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among students. We aim to provide a dynamic platform where students can nurture their creative ideas, gain valuable entrepreneurial skills, and transform innovative concepts into tangible products and services. Through mentorship, access to cutting-edge technology, and a supportive ecosystem, we strive to empower our students to become successful entrepreneurs, contributing to economic growth and societal development.

Vision

Our vision for the IEDC at Sree Sankara College is to become a renowned hub for innovation and entrepreneurship, not only within the college but also in the broader community. We aspire to inspire and support the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs who will drive positive change in society. By fostering an environment that encourages creativity, problem-solving, and risk-taking, we aim to produce graduates who are not just job seekers but also job creators, who leverage their skills and ideas to build sustainable businesses and make a meaningful impact on the world.
