Mathematics Association Inauguration



It has been decided to inaugurate the mathematics association as part of the academic activities of this year. With the teachers, all of the third-year students got together and began getting ready. It was decided to name the association “Mathematical Odyssey”. On November 13, 2023, the inauguration ceremony started at 10 am. The program started with the Lord’s prayer and 2nd year student Akshay Udayan welcomed everyone. Smt. Rinusha T. R., a Research Scholar at Cusat, was the special guest. The association was officially opened by chief guest Smt. Rinusha, who also wished it all the best. The presidential address was given by Mr. Rajeev, Association Secretary. Next, Dr. Preethy Nair, Principal of Sreesankara College, greeted everyone. Smt. Essy C. Cheriyan the head of the mathematics department, congratulated the association programmes. The class was then given by Smt.Rinusha. The professional and post-secondary study opportunities available in mathematics instruction were discussed by her. The many kinds of competitive tests in mathematics were explained to children. The class was also informed about exams such as Net, Set, PG Entrance, and others. After the class, the children shared their doubts. It was a good interactive session. Children were able to form a clear understanding of the job opportunities in the field of mathematics. Children presented a variety of cultural performances after class. The association’s founding served as a platform for fostering the children’s creativity. First year student Anjali thanked everyone. The program ended around 11 am Association activities are helpful in understanding the importance of learning mathematics and thereby growing. Also, such activities help to develop children’s creative abilities. .
