Orientation programme for Mathematics students



Orientation to first year degree admission of 2023—2024 was conducted on 13/11/2023 at 11.00 A M at Chandrasekara Bharathi seminar hall of our college. The program started with a prayer by Amrutha of DC1 Mathematics and DC2 student Akshay Udayan welcomed everyone. The resource person was Smt. Rinusha T R, Research scholar at CUSAT. She gave a clear explanation of the prospects available to those who complete B.Sc. mathematics. She also said that not only M.Sc. Mathematics or M.Sc. Statistics, but courses like M.Sc. Actuarial science, M.Sc. Metrology, M.Sc. Data Science, M.Sc. Forensic science etc. can also be taken after B.Sc. Mathematics. Additionally, the class was informed about M.Sc. entrance, KTET, SET, NET and other tests. The students talked about their doubts after class. The interactive session proved to be beneficial. Students were able to have a knowledge of the career options available in mathematics. After the Orientation program students actively participated in cultural activities, like group dance , Thiruvathira etc. Vishnu Rajeev of DC3 and Anjaly of DC1 sang songs. One of our Faculty Smt. Anjaly jose also performed. The programme ended by 1.00 P M with a vote of thanks by Anjaly P of DC1 mathematics
