Alumni Meet 2024



The Alumni meeting of the Mathematics Department of Sree Sankara College Kalady was conducted on 13th January 2024 at 11 am in the Chandrasekhara Bharati Seminar Hall. Everyone entered the hall after having a glass of tea and a snack. Without God’s grace, nothing can be completed, so the program began with a prayer by Kumari Amrutha of first-year BSc Mathematics. The Department HOD Smt. Essy C Cherian welcomed the whole gathering. The presidential address was given by Sri. Benno Mathew, Associate Professor, Department of Statistics. The senior teachers who were present for the meeting graced the dais with their presence and they were invited for the lamp lighting ceremony. After the formal inauguration, the senior teachers shared their memories. After that, it was an opportunity for everyone present there to share their sweet memories. Some of them came forward and talked about their college life and the everlasting memories they had with them. Since only less than 70 people were present for the meeting a new suggestion was put forward to change the date of the meeting from next year onwards. After the discussion, considering the opinion of everyone a decision was made to conduct the next year’s alumni meet on the second Saturday of May 2025. Also, many suggestions were put forward to make the meeting more active and colourful. The meeting came to an end by 1:15 pm with a vote of thanks by Ms.Aswathi. H, Guest Lecturer Department of Mathematics. Even though the participants were less the meeting went over nicely. The memories they shared gave life to the meeting. The wholehearted determination shown by the senior and aged teachers to attend the meeting is praiseworthy. Anyway, the meeting was an opportunity for everyone to strengthen their relationships .
