Hands-on training on Apiculture





Skill Enhancement in Apiculture: The budding zoologists are are being trained on Bee Culture and Management practices. They manage it throughout the year. As they do it they gain the experience in apiculture. They are observing the life activities and the adaptation of honey bees. They are managing the Beehive by frequent weekly observation of the bee hive. They use smoke to calm the bees before opening, and inspect for the health of the bees in the hive and attend to their needs. When food is less as during this year, they feed them with sugar syrup. They manage the apiary during the dearth period as well as during the honey flow period.
