NATIONAL WEBINAR



The National Webinar on “Energy Conservations in Household Appliances” was jointly organized and conducted by the Department of B.Voc Renewable Energy Management, DDU Kaushal Kendra, supported under “Sree Sankara Management Aid for Research and Transformation (SMART)” scheme of IQAC, Sree Sankara College, Kalady on 19th February 2022, between 10:00 am and 11:00 am online at Google Meet platform.   Sri. Listin Abey, Energy Strategist, Smart Joules Private Limited, Delhi started the proceedings by giving a brief introduction to the topic as it is an emerging field which requires at most attention and which has immense potential and is yet to be explored to its full extent. During his presentation he gave the audiences some key points for Energy conservations in household Appliances. All the information shared was backed up by the real time data from sites which are taken care of by Sri. Listin Abey and his team at Smart Joules. Mrs. Neethu Lakshmi C faculty of B.Voc Renewable Energy Management welcomed the speaker and the audience. In her welcome address she spoke about the department and its activities, she also highlighted the salient features and the relevance of the topic in the present day context. Speaker started the session and discussed the key points and the various aspects of energy conservation that can be applied by end users in their premises. The session was very effective and interesting. After the session Mrs. Namitha S, Faculty, DDU Kaushal Kendra started the Question and Answer session, which paved the way for some healthy discussion on how we can conserve energy at home. At the end of the session Mrs. Geethumal PG, Faculty, DDU Kaushal Kendra summed up the salient points of the technical session, she also proposed a vote of thanks to Sri. Listin Abey, for handling the session simply but in an effective manner. She thanked the college management and IQAC for sponsoring the webinar. She gave special mention to Prof. C.P. Jaisankar, who represented the Management. Also thanked Dr. A. Suresh, Principal, Sree Sankara College, Kalady and Dr. Preethi Nair, IQAC Coordinator, Sree Sankara College, Kalady. Shri Sheelamma Jacob, Director of DDU Kaushal Kendra and all others for their wholehearted support. After the webinar the feedback form which was prepared in advance was sent to the participants again using Google Form. The duly furnishing of it would automatically generate a participation certificate.
